MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Volleyball Players of the Week for the week of Aug. 18-24. Sofia Bettini of William Carey was named SSAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Jaci Drinnon of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Defender of the Week and Emma McPherson of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Attacker: Sofia Bettini, William Carey, JR, OH
- This is her first-career honor
- Finished with 52 kills (3.25 k/s) and 42 digs (2.63 d/s) across four matches
- Recorded a career-high 27 kills along with 19 digs in a 3-2 win over Montana State-Northern and added 10 kills and 16 digs in a win over No. 17 Montana Tech
Defender: Jaci Drinnon, Mobile, SR, L
- This is her fourth all-time honor
- She totaled 102 digs for a 6.8 digs per set average in a 4-0 week for the Rams
- Had highs of 33 digs in a 3-0 win over Keiser and 3-2 win over RV Grace
Setter: Emma McPherson, Mobile, JR, S
- This is her first-career honor
- In a perfect week, she posted 92 assists (6.1 a/s) and 47 digs (3.1 d/s) while operating in a 6-2 rotation
- She had a double-double in all four matches, including 25 assists and 12 digs in a 3-2 win over RV Grace
