MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Baseball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Zion Taylor of Mobile was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Jack Hulse of Brewton-Parker was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The awards are based on performance for the week of April 21-27.
Zion Taylor (Mobile – JR – OF – Atlanta, Ga.)
- This is his second-career honor
- In a pair of games v. Faulkner, Taylor hit .857 and slugged 1.286
- He went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs in game one and 2-for-3 with a double and RBI in game two
Jack Hulse (Brewton-Parker – FR – P)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Hulse pitched the Barons to a win over Middle Georgia
- He tossed 6.1 innings of three-hit, shutout ball with eight strikeouts
