MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Life swept the SSAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors with Briana Campbell being named Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Cameron Kelperis being named Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of March 24-30.
Briana Campbell (Life – FR – Jamaica)
- This is her first-career outdoor honor
- Campbell finished as runner-up in the 200m (23.69) at the Don McGarey Invitational
- Her time leads the NAIA and hit the NAIA “A” qualifying mark
Cameron Kelperis (Life – SO – Long Beach, Calif.)
- This is her second-career outdoor honor
- Kelperis finished 2nd out of 13 competitors in the pole vault (3.65m) at the Don McGarey Invitational
- Her mark hit the NAIA “B” qualifying standard
