MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Baseball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Eduarny Martinez of Faulkner was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Tavien Tigg of UT Southern was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of March 24-30.
 
Eduarny Martinez (Faulkner – SR – OF – Caracas, Venezuela)

• This is his second honor this season
• In a 3-1 week, Martinez hit .500, posted a .632 OBP and slugged 1.214 while totaling three homers, nine RBIs and nine runs scored
• The senior posted a two-home run, five-RBI effort in a win at Talladega and went a combined 4-for-7 with six runs scored, four walks and three RBIs in a pair of wins over Point

 
Tavien Tigg (UT Southern – SR – LHP – Murfreesboro, Tenn.)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Tigg picked up the save with three innings of one-hit shutout relief, while striking out five in a 6-2 victory
• The senior entered with a 3-2 lead and K’d five of the final 10 batters he faced
