MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Baseball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Brandon Mooney of Loyola (La.) was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Benji Webb of Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Jan. 27 – Feb. 2.
 
Brandon Mooney (Loyola – SR – INF – Madisonville, La.)

• This is his second-career weekly honor
• In a series win over LSU Alexandria, Mooney hit .778, posted a .833 OBP and slugged 1.333, while totaling seven hits, five doubles, five runs and three RBIs
• He recorded multiple hits in all three games and reached base safely three-plus times each game, capping the series with a 3-for-4, three-RBI, three-run effort in a 15-1 win

 
Benji Webb (Blue Mountain Christian – JR – LHP – Saltillo, Miss.)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Webb picked up a complete-game win over William Woods in his Blue Mountain Christian debut
• He fanned 10, walked none, and allowed only one run on five hits in seven innings of mound work
