MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Baseball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Collin Zeringue of Loyola (La.) was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Marco Ozuna of Faulkner (Ala.) was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Feb. 17-23.
 
Collin Zeringue (Loyola – SR – INF – Hahnville, La.)

• This is his third-career weekly honor
• In a series sweep of Thomas, Zeringue hit .667 and slugged 1.250, while totaling eight hits, two homers and eight driven in
• He had multiple hits and RBIs in all three games, including going 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs and 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs in the final two games

 
Marco Ozuna (Faulkner – SR – RHP – Casa Grande, Ariz.)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Ozuna hurled a seven-inning three-hit shutout against UT Southern
• He fanned 10 and allowed only one walk in the outing
