MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Daniel Williams of Life (Ga.) was named SSAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Ronaldo Andrews of William Carey (Miss.) was named SSAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Feb. 10-16.
Daniel Williams (Life – SR)
- This is his second indoor honor this season
- Williams won the 200m (21.11), 400m (47.41) and 4x400m (3:14.29) at the SSAC Indoor T&F Championship
- He hit the NAIA “A” Qualifying standard in all three events and his 400m time is sixth-best in the NAIA
Ronaldo Andrews (William Carey – SO – Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines)
- This is his third-career indoor honor
- Andrews won the long jump (7.40m) and triple jump (14.62m) at the SSAC Championship
- He hit the NAIA “A” Qualifying mark in the long jump and “B” standard in the triple jump
