MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Antonia Pittman of Point (Ga.) was named SSAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Maddie Kirk of Blue Mountain (Miss.) was named SSAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Feb. 10-16.
Antonia Pittman (Point – SO – G)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- In a 2-0 week, Pittman averaged 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, while shooting 67% from the FT line
- She produced 20 points, eight boards and five assists v. ABAC and 33 points, nine rebounds and three assists v. the Knights
Maddie Kirk (Blue Mountain – SO – G – Selmer, Tenn.)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- Kirk picked up eight steals in a 77-69 win over Brewton-Parker
- She also added 26 points, four boards and one block in the contest
