MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Baseball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Hayden Redding of Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Ridge Raper of UT Southern was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Feb. 3-9.
 
Hayden Redding (Blue Mountain – SR – OF – Mobile, Ala.)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• While taking 3-of-4 from Lindsey Wilson, Redding hit .643, posted a .706 OBP and slugged 1.429, while totaling nine hits, three homers, nine runs scored, six RBIs and five stolen bases
• He recorded at least one hit in every game and his sixth inning two-run home run in the finale proved to be the decider in a 6-4 win

 
Ridge Raper (UT Southern – SR – RHP – Phil Campbell, Ala.)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Raper tossed five innings of three-hit shutout ball in a win over IU Columbus
• He struck out nine and walked only one in the outing
