MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025-26 SSAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week. Reese Riddle of Abraham Baldwin was named SSAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Shaneal Corpuz of William Carey was named SSAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Dec. 15-21.
Offensive: Reese Riddle (Abraham Baldwin – SO – G – Athens, Ga.)
- This is her first-career honor
- Riddle tallied 29 points in a win over Trinity Baptist
- She shot 11-of-19 from the field and added three assists and four offensive boards
Defensive: Shaneal Corpuz (William Carey – JR – G – Biloxi, Miss.)
- This is her eighth-career weekly honor and fifth defensive award
- In a pair of close wins against Top 25 opponents, Corpuz averaged 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.0 assists per game
- She put up 19 points, 14 boards and five blocks v. Georgetown and 10 points, six boards and three blocks v. Carroll
