MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Braylee McMath of Mobile (Ala.) was named SSAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Kaci Scott of Life (Ga.) was named SSAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Jan. 6-12.
Braylee McMath (Mobile – SR – PG – Georgetown, Ky.)
- This is her second-career weekly honor
- McMath broke the single-game scoring record at Mobile with 47 points in an 83-73 win at Brewton-Parker, shooting 14-of-25 overall, 6-of-11 from 3-point range and 13-of-16 from the FT line
- She scored 23 points and added three assists in a win at ABAC
Kaci Scott (Life – JR – G/F – Inglewood, Calif.)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- In a 61-53 win at Thomas, Scott produced 11 defensive rebounds, seven blocks and four steals
- The steals and blocks were both season highs
