MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. William Carey (Miss.) swept the awards, with Cam Brown being named SSAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Dylan Brumfield being named SSAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Jan. 6-12.
Cam Brown (William Carey – SR – G – Hattiesburg, Miss.)
- This is his second-career weekly honor
- In a 2-0 conference week, Brown averaged 28.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 60% from the field, 53% from 3-point range and 100% from the free throw line
- He scored 32 points in a win at Faulkner, knocking down 6-of-10 triples
Dylan Brumfield (William Carey – SR – G – Hattiesburg, Miss.)
- This is his second-career honor
- In a 2-0 week, Brumfield averaged 18 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game
- He posted a high of three steals v. Point and six defensive boards v. Faulkner
