MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2023-24 Barnes & Noble College Women’s Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Loyola’s Bryana Bazile was named 2023-24 Barnes & Noble College Women’s Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The senior Computer Science major posted a 3.57 GPA in the classroom and was the SSAC Indoor Champion in Shot Put and Weight Throw. Her best mark in Shot Put was 13.00m and 15.58m in Weight Throw.

- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions
- Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
- Blue Mountain Christian’s Aubrey Britt led with a 3.94 GPA, while Mobile’s Kayla Mattox finishes with a 3.94 and Point’s Kh’Lari South had a 3.9 GPA
- WCU’s Fredricka McKenzie was the NAIA Champion in the 60m Hurdles and First-Team All-SSAC Indoor
