MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Maclani Michael of UT Southern was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Ebba Elweroth of Mobile (Ala.) was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Oct. 28 – Nov. 3.
Maclani Michael (UT Southern – JR – FWD – South Canterbury, New Zealand)
- This is her second-career weekly honor
- Michael totaled seven points in the first-round matchup v. Faulkner
- She had a hat trick and added an assist in the shutout win
Ebba Elweroth (Mobile – SR – GK – Helsingborg, Sweden)
- This is her third-career weekly honor
- Elweroth came up with 13 saves and only one goal allowed in 110 minutes v. Thomas in the first round of the SSAC Championship
- She also added a game-winning stop in PK’s to help the Rams advance
