MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Christina Salmon of William Carey (Miss.) was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Emily Lamoreaux of Thomas (Ga.) was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Oct. 21-27.
Christina Salmon (William Carey – FWD – Kingston, Jamaica)
- This is her third honor this season
- Salmon totaled 19 points in a 2-0 week for the Crusaders
- She produced six goals and five assists v. ABAC and added a goal v. Mobile
Emily Lamoreaux (Thomas – SR – GK – Lake City, Fla.)
- This is her third-career weekly honor
- Lamoreaux totaled 22 saves in a 1-1 week
- She posted five saves in 45 minutes of a win v. Talladega and 17 saves in a 3-1 loss to No. 5 UT Southern, who came in averaging 9.6 goals in SSAC action
