MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Loyola (La.) edged out William Carey (Miss.) for the top spot in the 2024-25 SSAC Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Preseason Poll.
 
The 2025 SSAC championship takes place Feb. 26 – March 1 in Montgomery, Ala., at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl. 
 
Kellie Kennedy, Loyola Head Coach:  "We are excited to be recognized by the coaches in our league as preseason No. 1 and I am excited about what this group can accomplish this season! We are working hard every day to put a team on the floor who is gritty and tough on both ends of the court. With a solid group of returners and some exciting new faces, I think we will be a tough team in a strong league."
