MONTGOMERY, Ala. – SSAC coaches picked Mobile first in the 2023 SSAC Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Preseason Poll. Mobile, Dalton State and William Carey all received first-place votes.

Daniel Whelan, Mobile Head Coach: “We were picked to finish first last year and ended up finishing 3rd in the SSAC. Although it’s a nice compliment, it is really based of last year's team and we have a new group with lots of work ahead of us.”
SSAC Championship
Eight teams will qualify for the SSAC Championship, and all eight will compete in the first round Nov. 2-4 at campus locations. No. 1 will host No. 8, No. 2 will host No. 7, etc. The four winners will advance to the semifinals in Montgomery, Ala., Nov. 8, with the title match set for No. 10.
Additional Notes
- UT Southern, Thomas and Point enter their first year of competition in the SSAC
- Mobile finished third in last year’s standings, but finished as the runner-up at the NAIA National Championship
- Dalton State won the 2022 SSAC Regular Season Championship, while Life won the 2022 SSAC Tournament Championship in their first year of league play
