HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2023 SSAC Baseball All-Tournament Team, highlighted by Championship MVP J.T. Lastorka.
 
Highlights

• Lastorka hit .412 and slugged .765 with a pair of homers and five RBIs, and scored three runs in the title game
• Plash had three XBH and drove in seven, while Mason hit .400 and posted a .571 OBP
• Lada launched five homers and drove in 12 runs during the tournament, Stinson posted a 0.87 ERA across 10.1 innings with 11 strikeouts and Shirah allowed only one unearned run with 11 K’s in seven innings
• Mills posted a .545 batting average, while driving in four runs and scoring four, and Bowen made two appearances with a 1.08 ERA and 12 K’s in 8.1 innings
• Hilyer logged a 2.16 ERA in three appearances out of the pen and Martin hit .421 with four XBH and seven runs scored
• Koch struck out 10 in eight innings in his lone start and Fernandez hit .417 with four RBIs and five steals
