LEWISTON, Idaho – William Carey (Miss.) bowed out of the 2023 Avista NAIA Baseball World Series Wednesday, falling to host Lewis-Clark State 15-6.
 
The Crusaders were making their appearance at the World Series and ended up as one of the final four teams remaining in the tournament.

• Bobby Lada finished 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs and Rigoberto Hernandez finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs
• RJ Stinson had two hits and walked twice
• LCSC finished with 16 hits, including six home runs
• Isaiah Thomas and Nick Seamons each had two long balls and combined for 10 RBIs

 
How It Happened

• The Warriors jumped on the board first with two runs in the first and four in the second
• The Crusaders tied it at 6-6 with a six-run top of the fourth thanks to a two-run triple from Hernandez and three-run homer from Lada
• But, LCSC scored one in the fourth and two in the fifth and never looked back
