MONTGOMERY, Ala. – J.C. Toro of Faulkner (Ala.) was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week and Ryan Wilson of Middle Georgia State was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Feb. 20-26.
 
J.C. Toro (Faulkner – SR – RHP – Gurabo, P.R.)

• This is his second-career honor
• Toro pitched Faulkner to a win over (RV) Indiana Wesleyan
• He struck out 13 and allowed only four hits in 6.1 innings of shutout ball
   

Ryan Wilson (Middle Georgia – JR – 1B – McDonough, Ga.)

• This is his second-career honor
• In a 2-2 week for the Knights, Wilson hit .529, posted a .600 OBP and slugged .941, while totaling nine hits, two homers and 12 RBIs
• In game one v. Florida Memorial, he went 4-for-5 with one homer and seven RBIs, and in game three, he went 3-for-5 with a double and RBI
