MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 2022 Barnes & Noble College Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were released by the Southern States Athletic Conference.
Loyola’s Lucy Carpenter headlines the team as the 2022 Barnes & Noble College Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The sophomore mass communications major posted a 3.78 GPA in the classroom and was named SSAC Player of the Year on the court. She compiled a 15-5 record at No. 1 singles and 16-4 mark at No. 1 doubles.

- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions
- Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
