MONTGOMERY, Ala. – RJ Stinson of William Carey (Miss.) was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Garrett Martin of Middle Georgia State was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Jan. 31 – Feb. 6.
 
RJ Stinson (William Carey – SO – INF – Pine Bluff, Ark.)
 

• Stinson helped the Crusaders take 2-of-3 from Lindsey Wilson, hitting .417 and slugging .917, while posting five runs and four RBI
• He recorded a hit in every game, going 4-for-9 with five runs, three RBIs and three extra-base hits in the two wins

 
Garrett Martin (Middle Georgia – SR – RHP – Gypsum, Colo.)
 

• Martin pitched seven innings of three-hit shutout ball, while striking out 14 over a pair of appearances
• He fanned eight in four innings of two-hit ball in a win over Brewton-Parker and K’d six in three innings of relief v. Ave Maria
