MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 2022 SSAC men’s soccer award winners were announced Tuesday, with Dalton State’s Guilherme Franca and William Carey’s Brandon Bermingham earning Co-Player of the Year honors.

Defensive Player of the Year: Guilherme Franca, Dalton State (Ga.)
Freshman of the Year: Josh Ramos, Dalton State (Ga.)
Newcomer of the Year: Leonardo Seixas, Dalton State (Ga.)
Golden Gloves: Michael Barrueta, Dalton State (Ga.)
Golden Boot: Brandon Bermingham, William Carey (Miss.)
Sportsmanship Award: Dalton State (Ga.)
Noteworthy
- Bermingham is fourth in the NAIA in goals (20) and points (47) and leads the SSAC in both
- Franca leads a Dalton State defense that is fifth in the NAIA allowing only seven goals in 16 games
- Ramos is part of that defense for the Roadrunners and also chipped in 16 points (6 goals and 4 assists), while Seixas also has six goals and four assists
- Barrueta has allowed only six goals in 15 games with seven shutouts
- Riescher, Cabello, Jorgge and Vandersteene are repeat first-team honorees
