MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Ana Paula Santos of William Carey (Miss.) was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Courtney Link of Middle Georgia State was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Sept. 13-19.
Ana Paula Santos (William Carey – SR – FWD – Sao Paulo, Brazil)
- Santos and the top-ranked Crusaders remained unbeaten with a 2-0 week as she totaled three goals
- She scored once v. SCAD Savannah (Ga.) and added a pair of goals v. Thomas (Ga.)
Courtney Link (Middle Georgia – JR – GK – Marietta, Ga.)
- Link delivered a six-save shutout in a 2-0 road win at Life (Ga.)
- It was her seventh-career shutout, tying the Middle Georgia record
