MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2021 SSAC M&W Outdoor Track & Field Championship Top Scorers Sunday. Mobile's Anfernee Jones took home the men's honors, while Brittany Jones took home women's honors.
Men's Track & Field: Anfernee Jones – 31 Points
- Anfernee Jones totaled 31 points to win the honor for the second-straight championship after previously winning it in 2019
- Won the shot put with a mark of 14.15m
- Won the discus with a mark of 39.05m
- Won the hammer with a mark of 48.24m
- Finished 8th in the javelin
Women's Track & Field: Brittany Jones – 38 Points
- Earned 38 points to claim the honor for the third-straight championship after winning it in 2018 and 2019
- Finished 2nd in the 100m (11.91) and hit the NAIA qualifying mark
- Won the high jump (1.65m) and hit the NAIA qualifying mark
- Won the long jump (5.95m) and hit the NAIA qualifying mark
- Won the triple jump (12.59m) and hit the NAIA qualifying mark
- Was also part of the gold medal-winning 4x100m relay team that hit the NAIA qualifying mark
