Jeremy Kennedy, Loyola Head Coach: "Being picked as conference favorites is a great honor for the ‘21 team, who earned that respect, but it doesn’t really say much for the ‘22 team. This is a whole new team with some new and some old faces. This group has to make its own way. It’s nice for the program to be in a place where this can happen, but the 2022 team still has its own story to write. I’m personally appreciative for the vote of confidence in our group by our peers, but at the end of the day, this team will have to put in the work to see that success."

- The 2022 SSAC Championship will take place May 4-7 at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
- The final 2021 NAIA Top 25 Poll featured Faulkner at No. 4, Loyola at No. 14, Middle Georgia State at No. 18 and William Carey at No. 22
- The Wolf Pack won the 2021 SSAC Regular Season Championship, while the Crusaders claimed the 2021 SSAC Tournament Championship
